Financial Services - Head of Network (System and Network Operation) - HK$ 1.5M-2M
This client, a top-tier financial services firm. The CTO is in search of a competent and an experienced IT network infrastructure professional who will lead teams of engineers in delivering network projects, maintaining high standards of network operations and continuously improving compliance and team efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the IT Division's network-related activities, encompassing project management, operational tasks, and the advancement of low-latency infrastructure
- Supervise daily network functions, leading the troubleshooting and resolution of issues within critical network frameworks
- Spearhead initiatives to enhance processes through automation and the introduction of new tools, aiming to boost both operational effectiveness and compliance
- Allocate and oversee budgets for both new projects and ongoing operational costs efficiently
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with network operations
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Promote improvements in record-keeping, ensuring high levels of accuracy in documentation related to IT assets, configurations, network layouts, protocols, and guidelines
- Stay informed about developments in network technology and industry best practices, assessing and advocating for operational enhancements regularly
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT networking, including project and operational support roles, with at least 5 of those years in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Comprehensive understanding of network technologies such as ACI, VxLAN, SDWAN, Cloud networking, and network security solutions.
- Demonstrated success in leading critical network initiatives, encompassing network design, testing, upgrades, migrations, and the automation of network processes.
- Established track record of developing, improving, implementing, and digitizing operational processes in line with recognized standards (for example, NIST, ITIL).
- Robust analytical abilities, along with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders within large organizations.
- Proven effectiveness in building and leading diverse teams, with a talent for motivating and driving teams towards success.
